Rise. Thrive. Lead with Purpose – Why This Matters Now

Last week I had the privilege of reviewing the programme for Rise & Thrive Waiheke Island (22–25 March2026) – a four-day immersive leadership experience bringing together women ready to step more fully into their impact.
From purpose-led leadership and personal branding to wellbeing, burnout prevention, women’s health and the future of work, the agenda is thoughtfully curated and powerfully relevant. It’s a space intentionally designed to grow confidence, clarity and courageous leadership.
And that’s exactly why this matters beyond the individual.
At Equity Matters, our EDI work is grounded in one core belief:
Inclusive leadership isn’t a “nice to have” – it’s a strategic imperative.
Programmes like this contribute to something much bigger:
But it is important to note that individual development must sit alongside systemic change.
We can support women to rise and thrive, but we must also continue addressing the structural barriers that still exist in many organisations – from gender pay gaps to underrepresentation in senior leadership, to the invisible load so many women carry.
That’s where our work at Equity Matters connects.
We partner with organisations to:
✔ Audit and strengthen inclusive leadership capability
✔ Embed equitable recruitment and promotion practices
✔ Build psychologically safe, high-performing cultures
✔ Move from intention to measurable action in EDI
Leadership retreats spark growth.
Organisational EDI embeds it.
If you’re investing in developing your women leaders in 2026, let’s ensure the systems around them evolve too.
Because thriving leaders deserve thriving workplaces.
